Crystals

Crystals of Tungsten Oxide x1,100

A forest of crystals grown at high temperature in an oxygen rich environment. To the unaided eye, the metal surface bearing these crystals betrayed nothing more than a dead-matt finish but closer inspection revealed an otherwise unseen beauty.

Beryllium Oxide ceramic x4,450

Beryllium is an extremely toxic, steely white, non-corrodible metallic element occurring in a number of minerals of which emerald is one. The oxide (BeO) has a melting point of 2,530 deg.C and is used in the nuclear industry. Pure Beryllium Oxide insulates electrically like a ceramic but conducts heat like a metal.
